Your Attitude Changes Everything
When you have repetitive thoughts and feelings towards a certain person or life situation, they ultimately become automatic and form an attitude. If you experience the same reality over and over your attitude expands into how you perceive and see others, and even reduce them to their greatest offense. Your perception of others is worth noticing, and in many cases, worth re-evaluating!
If you repeat certain attitudes long enough and string those attitudes together, that’s how you create a belief. Your beliefs become hardwired into your brain and are more permanent than attitudes. If you want to change a belief, you must become more conscious and less unconscious. We encourage you to increase your level of attention and raise your awareness of how you are viewing the people you love!
“Sonder” is a new word to us. It is the profound feeling of realizing that everyone, including strangers passed in the street, has a life as complex as one's own, which they are constantly living despite one's personal lack of awareness of it.
Learning to be aware, knowing that every person is navigating through complexities is another move towards mercy, and a great motivator to choose a kindhearted and loving attitude!
